In my entire existence, I don’t ever recall being this scared. It’s funny, how you added one letter to the word ‘cared’, just nonchalantly slipped it in there without my knowledge. Your shoulder now cold as ice, your words venom in my ears, your flinch inducing movement. It scares me this in unknowledge of what is actually there and what is not, trapped in the unbearable limbo of anticipation. Wondering what you’ll do next, yet somehow knowing pain will be involved, my sixth sense is tuned too finely; any acute movement frenzies it. I’m tired but I can’t close my eyes. Long night ahead
